Atlético Nacional vs Pereira

Despite their position at the top of the table, Atlético Nacional have not performed well of late, losing twice this season.

Currently bottom of the table and with more than half the tournament still to play, Pereira needs a win to start climbing the table and get closer to the top.

Atlético Nacional have undoubtedly had one of the best starts to the season, going unbeaten in their first six games but losing their last two, to Millonarios and Águilas Doradas, without managing to score.

Although the team is at the top of the table, it is only one point off first place, currently occupied by Atlético Bucaramanga, but shared with two other teams, Águilas Doradas and Independiente de Medellín.

Playing at home has been one of the biggest advantages for the team, which has gone five games without losing, winning only in that period, and has scored two or more goals in recent games. 

It's also worth noting that the team managed to qualify for the next stage of the Colombian Cup after beating América de Cali 3-2 in the last 16.

Pereira's season hasn't been very positive, and his displays are following the same path as the Apertura, where the team failed to qualify for the final stage of the season.

Of the six games played so far, only one victory has been achieved, the same as the last appearance, after beating Jaguares de Córdoba 3-0.

Away from home, Pereira haven't managed to win any of the games played so far and, even more surprisingly, haven't scored a goal this season.

It's worth noting that the team was recently eliminated from the Copa Libertadores after being beaten 4-0 on aggregate by Palmeiras, without managing to score in that decisive game.
