Empoli vs Juventus

Empoli haven't won a game so far. This has pushed them to the bottom of the table and, along with Lazio, they are the only two teams without a point so far.

Juventus have made a positive start to the Serie A season, picking up four of the first six points of the campaign. The Old Lady is therefore fighting for first place.

Empoli won just 10 times last season in Serie A, after 38 matches played. The team was 12 points clear of relegation, so their campaign in the competition wasn't all bad, even if they missed out on the international spots.

However, the team didn't start the current season well, losing every official match, being eliminated from the Coppa Italia after being beaten by Cittadella, while in the final series they lost to Verona and Monza, without managing to score in any of the matches. 

Empoli have maintained their best home record, with a total of at least five wins in their last ten games, while the other matches have ended in defeat.

Beyond soccer, Juventus are also going through a negative period from an administrative point of view: after obtaining enough points to qualify for this season's Champions League, the Italian Football Federation decided to withdraw 10 points due to financial errors.

In addition to these problems, UEFA has excluded the team from international competitions, so this year the team should only be interested in Serie A and the performance they can achieve in the Italian Cup.
