Arsenal vs Mónaco

After finishing second in the Premier League last season, Arsenal will be looking to prepare for the title that eluded them after a poor second half of the season.

Monaco are far from the team that has been at the top of the table in previous seasons. The team needs to turn its performance around if it wants to qualify for an international tournament again.

Last season, Arsenal was a solid team during the first half of the Premier League, but in the second half it showed a completely different rhythm that led it to be overtaken by Manchester City at the top of the league, missing the opportunity to become champions.

The Gunners won 26 of their 38 games, losing just six. The offensive level of the team was very positive, as they managed to maintain an average of just over two goals per game.

It can be said that the pre-season has been relatively positive for the team, since out of the five games played so far, they have only lost one, having achieved two victories.

The Gunners already have three of the team's new reinforcements for this season, Declan Rice, Justin Timber and Havertz.

It's surprising to find a Monaco team that, after 38 games played last season in Ligue 1, achieved a total of 19 wins and 11 defeats, a situation that led them to sixth place in the standings, being the first of the teams not qualified for an international tournament.

The team managed to demonstrate a good offensive level, placing as the second top scorer of the tournament, however, the defensive level was the great Achilles heel of the team, as it was the most affected among the top-ranked teams.

The Principality team's pre-season was not entirely positive, having started with a draw and a defeat, while after three consecutive wins, they were beaten again in the last round by Genoa.
