Milan vs Real Madrid

AC Milan missed the chance to retain the Serie A title they won in the 21-22 season, but did manage to qualify for next season's Champions League.

After an intense battle with their city rivals, Real Madrid could only finish second in the Liga Santander, 10 points off the top spot occupied by arch-rivals Barcelona.

With just a month to go until the start of Serie A, Milan are already preparing for the season in the best possible way, having lost the season 22-23.

The Rossoneri have managed to hold on to fourth place in the table, 20 points behind the champions, having won 20 of their 38 games and suffered just eight defeats. They were eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League by Inter, while in the Italian Cup they only reached the last 16.

Pioli will remain in charge but will have a number of new players to bolster the squad, including Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Luka Romero, while the only injured player so far is Sandro Tonali.

The team has already started its pre-season with an important 7-0 win over Lumezzanne, in a debut game with few faces among the usual starters but with a great superiority over the opponent.

Real Madrid will start their preparation for the Liga Santander with a match against AC Milan. Despite last season's excellent performance, with 24 wins in 38 games, Barcelona's excellent display did not allow the Merengues to take the lead.

However, the team managed to score more goals than any other team in the tournament, demonstrating a good defensive level that allowed them to concede less than one goal per game.

To start the pre-season, Real Madrid made a number of changes from last year's squad, the most important of which was undoubtedly the departure of striker Karim Benzema, as well as Hazzard and Asencio, while Bellingham, Guler and Fran Garcia were integrated into the team.
