Independiente de Medellín continues to record poor results in recent games. This has led to negative performances in each of the tournaments in which the team participates.

After a good end to the season, the Juniors have failed to pick up any points in their presentation, which has placed them among the bottom of the tournament. Despite a total of 11 wins and just two defeats in the latter part of the Apertura, Junior have been unable to overcome their disastrous start to the season, falling outside the teams qualifying for the last four places.

After losing 1-0 to Águilas Doradas, the team's situation was once again called into question as they were unable to maintain the good form with which they finished the first part of the year.

In this last game, possession was in favor of Águilas, but the Juniors also managed to create goal situations that were not taken advantage of by the team, showing a low level of definition.
