Corinthians vs Sao Paulo

Under the technical guidance of Vanderlei Luxemburgo, Corinthians seem to have found their best form of the season, managing to string together positive results in recent matches.

Sao Paulo have also been performing well of late. However, their run of consecutive games without defeat was interrupted in their last match. They will therefore be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to the Estadio Neo Quimica.

Corinthians' situation in Serie A remains relatively stable, but only two points separate them from the relegation zone, as they have won just four of their 15 matches.

However, the team managed a draw and a win in their last two matches, taking their unbeaten run to five matches across all tournaments.

Thanks to this run, the team qualified for the last 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, having beaten Universitario by an aggregate score of 1-3, and managed to close out the series against América Mg on a penalty shootout.

The Timao's performance at the Neo Química has been very positive, as they have suffered just two defeats in the last 12 matches played in front of their home fans, and have only failed to score twice in the 20 matches played in total.

São Paulo's reality in the Brazilian Serie A is different from that of Corinthians, as the team is fighting to take part in upcoming international competitions. However, in the last few matches played in the tournament, performances have been rather irregular, with wins, draws and defeats in between.

Among the various tournaments played, the team managed to string together a run of six consecutive wins, but this was interrupted in the last match, against Cuiaba, which they lost 2-1.

Away from home, São Paulo have been in very poor form of late, with just one win in their last five matches and three defeats in the same period.
